Don’t read in dim light:
when you read in low light it will damage your eyes and can lead to many eye-related issues like nearsightedness. Always read books and magazines where the light is bright. Also, if you are reading something on a mobile phone then make sure the light is not too bright so you can be saved from eye damage.
Take a gap when you look at screens: many people don’t take a gap when they use a computer or see television, this action can damage your eyesight or develop the nearsightedness. In a day, always plan a break from looking at computer and television. For instance, if you are spending a whole day on a computer then take 5 to 10-minute breaks every hour, you can go for a walk or talk with your friends. Past study shows that if you spend time outdoors this will help to manage the eyesight and keep away from nearsightedness so plan a break and go outside for a while.

there is a focus exercise that boosts the eye muscles. If you ever feel that your eyes are damaging due to close up work, reading or working in front of computers then you must take gaps from doing the work and give your eyes rest and do focus workout. This will relax your eyes and strengthen your eye muscles that are tensed. For example, you can hold your thumb at your arm’s length and then gradually bring it back and touch the nose tip. Make sure you are focusing on your eyes during the whole procedure. Move your thumb again form your nose but move your arms on the right or left side and do the same process. Spend 3minute on this exercise and repeat it 3 to 5 times in the whole day.
